I’m in The Letter Farmer’s birth place - Seattle! My husband and I booked a surprise trip through @packupgo_travel where you don’t know where you are going until day of travel - and we were sent to Seattle. They booked us for massages, underground donut tour, waterfall hike, pro women’s basketball game, and more. So cool! But I need to fit some stationery store shopping in - what shops do you recommend??

So, I did a thing…. Last weekend our family all got tattoos - we all had same artist from a tattoo shop in Buena Vista. I went with envelope sealed with a red wax seal that has mountain image in it and a Colorado wildflower.

I’m back home from a fabulous trip to NYC that was prompted by #stationeryfest happening in Brooklyn but blossomed into so much more. museums and art and Broadway shows and dining and more! Here are some pics from Stationery Fest, including the marketplace and the watercolor workshop I attended, and later shopping at Japanese bookstore @kinokuniyausa . And some stationery goodies I bought along the way.

Made it to NYC! Long 2 days filled with weather delays, no pilots, canceled flights, sad airport food, even sadder airport hotels, rebooked flights to other airports, lost luggage, then found luggage but at original airport. But also included lots of engaging conversations with my mother in law, finding out that people supporting people are best found in lost luggage and canceled flight lines, rolling with the punches as only 2 women can do, a safe flight that I had handled with ease even without my anxiety meds, knowing tomorrow I will be able to attend #stationeryfest and now I’m sitting in Lincoln center about to listen to orchestra.

After a 7 hour delay they canceled the flight. 😩 looking at what options are for tomorrow

When in Taos a couple weeks ago for an open studio

When in Taos a couple weeks ago for an open studio art retreat I was enjoying playing around with wax seals but there are only so many letters I could write. So I made a sample board of the various seals I have with various colored waxes. Hmm, I might have a bit of a problem, aka obsession. I want to try to pour and scrape method I watch on @strictlyrita posts, but I didn’t have the right tools with me. Will be better prepared next time. But still had fun! Especially loved the 2 color wax for Oreo seal, the calculator seal (I was an accountant) , and a mailbox filled with flowers 📬 🌺

Wax seals purchased from @penpaling_paula @strictlyrita @fionaariva . And other places before I remembered to note where I bought them.
